Introducing Grenville Cattlemen's
Executive & Directors
January 2005
President
Alec MacGregor RR#2, Jasper, Ontario
K0G 1G0 613 283-8054 admacgregor@superaje.com
We call our operation Grassview Farm and are located
north of Easton's Corners. Intensive rotational grazing is used to pasture
our 40 head British base cow herd. As a director and now president of
Grenville Cattlemen's Association I have enjoyed the contact and learning
with fellow country beef producers over the years.
Your association is here to serve you! We welcome any thoughts or ideas
you may have about any of the activities planned through out the year.
Thank you.
1st Vice
Charlie Sytsma RR#3, Athens Ontario

I farm with my wife Kim and my son William on 500 acres
just outside of Athens. We calve out 130 crossbred cows. We have worked
with the students of Kemptville College for a number of years as well
as tested bulls and custom raised heifers. I have enjoyed working with
the producers in Grenville over the years and I'm enjoying serving them
as a director on the Grenville Cattlemen's Board of directors. If I can
be of service to you please give me a call.
Secretary / Treasurer
Christine Bennett RR#2, Jasper, Ontario
K0G 1G0 613 283-7253 bennett@manesailfarms.anikast.ca
Christine and Donald Bennett recently started ManeSail
Farms located near Jasper. It has been my pleasure to serve as Secretary-Treasurer
for this group of producers in Grenville County. We have a small herd
of cross bred cattle and are excited about the future of beef in Ontario,
which is great fodder for friendly debates with my family in Alberta!
Grenville Cattlemen's Association has taught me a great deal about the
proper care, health and safety of our beef industry. Please take advantage
of the great programs and tours offered during the year by your association
for your education and profitability and most are free!

I was born and raised on a dairy farm in the U.K. and
earned a Diploma in Dairying there, converting to Beef Cow-Calf in Canada.
I have been involved with a registered Aberdeen Angus herd and currently
my husband Bill and myself run 40 Maine Anjou and Black Angus cows using
Black Angus bulls. We market all of our calves directly to the feedlot
promoting them and following them up using BIO's SQOC program, Phizer
gold health protocol and the Green Angus tags. We have an Environmental
Farm Plan and have enrolled in the Quality Starts Here program, believing
that the future of our industry lies in proving our product is healthy
and safe.
